Educational crisis, one of the many faces of global crisis (2)

With regard to the Far East, which at first worried over the 80 West, the disproportionate growth of productive capacity and competitiveness of those who were called the "Asian tigers" was nonetheless controlled by the central powers through a mixture of political pressure and seizure of power by corporate control of production, erupted with the explosion of industrial and economic development of China. There then emerged who is now the nation that seems to be commanding the economic destinies of the planet. That the main engine that produced this cultural phenomenon is not difficult to appreciate. Although corporations have settled in China, economic control remains in the hands of their government. And it's no coincidence that the same nation has produced in two different times with different technologies and different political regimes only two human works can be seen with the naked eye from space (The Great Wall and the Three Gorges Dam ), the secret seems to lie in their social and cultural characteristics. And finally, what touches us most closely and which we are actors, is the new role that is beginning to play our Latin American region in the international context. In recent times we have become those that Mao Tse Tung called "the backyard of imperialism," a group of nations that begin to move towards a new way of life, with an integrationist vision that rescues the dreams of independence struggles Two hundred years ago and the men who carried forward. It is not necessary to state here what is news today for us daily of this process, simply mention it as one of the new perspectives. And the final scenario we are experiencing has mostly to do with the breakdown of economic and financial system that attempts to control the planet. Since the financial crisis that began in the United States in 2006 with the outbreak of the "housing bubble", a progressive downward spiral seems to be marking the crash, had come to absurdities such as that over 70% of generated money came not from what occurred but pure speculation, or a concentration of capital that makes such as 1% of world population manages almost half of global capital. Despite all the efforts made by central government to stop this fall, she's gone already becoming unstoppable almost a decade. Of course everything seems to collapse the meantime, large corporations are funded by those governments and profit margins have increasingly disparate. This is accompanied by the gradual emergence of social movements that convulsed the international arena. Not only what has been called the "Arab spring", where mass protests in the Middle East and North Africa have not only traditionally authoritarian several governments lying, but continue to press for social change, but what is now named as "outraged" widespread social protest movements in core countries, in response to the collapse of the welfare state produced by the financial crisis and the actions of governments and economic control of transnational institutions (IMF, World Bank, European Bank) who carry on citizens the weight of the economic crisis. This is broadly the international scene analysis from a general perspective. Conclusions If this approach is in some measure a proper perspective, we can make some tentative conclusions: 1) The general crisis we are experiencing has a deep character that goes beyond the collapse of the economic system. What is at stake is the validity not only of the existing political and economic systems, but their value systems and goals, ie its cultural offerings. 2) The emerging alternatives address this crisis are therefore not presented just search for alternative economic and political forms, but the formation and development of new worldviews, new value systems, new habits of living, new ways of life. 3) The crisis in education, which is a structural part of the general crisis , you can only face the same way, promoting and discovering new ideas from our place, new systems and new ways to rescue an educational process for a new society. 4) As regards Nuestramérica, as Aram Aharonian said, we begin to "see ourselves with our own eyes." We're from some places to try. It's no accident the search for proposals that come from our native peoples, whose culture was swept away and hidden for five hundred years, and now seem to have much to contribute. As proposed two centuries ago, Simon Rodriguez, the alternative for us in the background is very simple: "Either we invent or we err."
